Angles of Entanglement

Summer 2020
Garland, Texas
Inspired by pondering our relationship to the natural world and how we interact with it, I danced and played with light and shadow to create a commentary about bridging the boundary between humans and non-human nature. By projecting shadows of words onto different natural materials, I hope to demonstrate that we are inseparable from nature; we are made from it and of it and as such, a reciprocity between us and nature is crucial. We are all kin.
Cake and Pastry Decoration

During a summer break in college I worked at a bakery near the beach in Delaware called Morning Buns Bake Shop. I had always enjoyed being creative with food and baking but my time there inspired me to keep learning and decorating cakes and pastries!
Artisan Alley Farmer's Market

During the fall of 2019, a friend and I sold our art at the weekly Artisan Alley Farmer's Market in downtown DeLand, Florida. During these markets, I sold blackout poetry on wood blocks, combining my love of creative writing and drawing.
