Flying Fish Exhibits

Exhibit Designer and Developer

Research, write, edit, and develop signage, interactives, and digital interfaces for natural history exhibits at Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center. Storyboard videos and research identify pictures for exhibits.

The Wild Center

Exhibit Developer

Collaborated with a small team to conceptualize, prototype, design, fabricate, and install a 3,000 square foot exhibit on climate change solutions with a focus on hope and climate justice. As part of the design team, I brainstormed exhibit concepts, created sketches and 3D models, pitched ideas, built prototypes, designed interactives, wrote signage, coded, collaborated with outside partners, conducted interviews, edited videos, built exhibits, and gave presentations.


The Wild Center

Exhibit Design Fellow

Worked with a team to create a 3,000 square foot exhibit on climate change solutions. This included finalizing an exhibit strategy document, presenting concepts to the team, writing signage, brainstorming exhibit concepts and interactives, touring other museums, and assisting with photoshoots and videography. Assisted with outdoor education/trail monitoring shifts. Worked with teams of staff to host events including a holiday lights walk, a Halloween event, and a wedding. Helped create a sculptural piece on The Wild Center’s campus.

Founder

Created a publicly generated project that asks the public to submit art inspired by a local nature preserve. I maintain a curated gallery and social media engagement.
 
Bee The Change Artist Residency

Artist-in-Residence 

Worked in collaboration with the Nancy Winship Milliken Studio to produce creative works that serve as educational materials for Bee The Change, a non-profit organization working to plant pollinator-friendly habitat in solar fields. As a part of this residency, I produced mixed-media poetry and photographic works that speak to the importance of habitat preservation and the connection between humans and non-human life.

Stetson University Native Sandhill Restoration and Gillespie Museum- DeLand, FL

Restoration Intern

Maintain an urban refuge for native flora and pollinators and create informative and interactive materials for the Gillespie Museum. Write and design a weekly newsletter, maintain Throughline, an art-in-nature project I developed, create social media posts, and collaborate on educational outreach projects for the Gillespie Museum.
