Exhibit Developer, The Wild Center

Exhibit Design Fellow - June 2021 -November 2021

Exhibit Developer - November 2021- July 2022

Tupper Lake, NY

As an Exhibit Developer at the Wild Center, I am working with a team to create a 3,000 square foot exhibit on climate change solutions opening in July 2022. Focused on storytelling, equity, and hope, this exhibit will showcase solutions in food, energy, the natural world, and community action. In conceptualizing and designing this exhibit I research climate solutions, brainstorm concepts, prototype interactives, build 3D models, sketch ideas, write and edit text, edit videos, code interactives, collaborate with organizations and individuals to create content, meet with collaborators, and move exhibit components from the ideation phase to the fabrication phase.

The Place Where Project, Nancy Winship Milliken Studio

May 2020 -August 2020

My internship at the Nancy Winship Milliken studio has consisted of two different projects that have allowed me to explore place attachment, public engagement in the arts at the intersection of environmental issues and social justice issues, methods of public engagement, and my interest in the interplay of light and shadow. Throughout the creation of these projects, I have learned about the importance of storytelling in public engagement, the research process behind the creation of art pieces, and explored the connections between humans and nature.

Volusia Sandhill Ecosystem and Gillespie Museum

January 2019 -May 2021

At the Gillespie Museum I wrote and designed the weekly newsletter and maintained Throughline, an art in nature project I initiated for the local community. I also collaborated with other staff members to create educational materials. At the adjacent longleaf pine restoration area, the Volusia Sandhill Ecosystem, I cared for the native restoration area, removing invasive species, collecting seeds, and planting and propagating native Florida plants.
